Tayvon Etefia and
Emmanuel Popoola were convicted of killing 18-year-old Keanu Harker in Enfield,
north London. A continuous conflict between the Get Money Gang and the 3×3 gang
led to the unfortunate shooting that took place on June 26 of last year.
According to the
prosecution, the altercation intensified after a string of derogatory
conversations on Snapchat, including jokes about Popoola's inability to pay for
mobile data.
The court was informed
during the trial that Etefia chased Harker while riding an electric bike with
Popoola as a passenger. After they caught up, Popoola hit Harker in the head
and chest with three close-range shots. The victim was able to crawl into a nearby
garden, but he sadly passed out there.
After making an attempt
to escape to France, both attackers were apprehended and extradited. In
addition, three additional people who assisted the two after the murder were
found guilty of perverting the course of justice. Later this week, Popoola and
Etefia will get their sentences for their involvement in this terrible act of
violence.
