Ama Official, a
well-known TikToker from Ghana, has openly acknowledged that she is the woman
in the now-viral private recordings that are making the rounds on social media.
Ama Official said during
a TikTok live session that the videos were made with her ex-boyfriend, who
persuaded her to do so on the grounds that they would be "memories"
when they eventually moved to the UK together.
She claims that the only
reason she consented to film the films was because her ex-boyfriend guaranteed
her that the material would be kept confidential and that he would never end
their relationship.
He advised me to record
the videos so we would have mementos of our trip to the UK. Ama Official stated
tearfully, "I agreed because I loved him and thought he would never leave
me."
Ama Official addressed
how the recordings got into the public domain by saying that her Snapchat
account was compromised and that she is certain the hacker is to blame for the
obscene video leaks.
"I think the videos
leaked because someone hacked my Snapchat. I am still in disbelief since I
never imagined that I would experience this," she continued.
Online, the news has
sparked a lot of discussion. While some have shown sympathy for the TikToker,
others have denounced the invasion of her privacy.
