To provide customers with a more dependable
power supply, the Electricity Company of Ghana is investing GH¢240 million in
significant renovations. Twelve potent new transformers will replace outdated
machinery in six strategic locations, including Adenta and Teshie-Nungua, as
part of this exciting project.
Although roughly half of the work has already been completed by teams, the next phase calls for short, scheduled disruptions from April 8 to April 10, 2026. ECG respectfully requests your patience during these brief pauses. With the support of the Energy Ministry, these crucial upgrades guarantee that you will have significantly more reliable and powerful electricity after the project is finished.
