To make sure that no hit song is overlooked, the
Telecel Ghana Music Awards are changing things up. Beginning with the 27th
edition, a new "Swing Period" guideline permits songs published in
December to be eligible for the awards the following year.
After three years of discussions with industry
professionals who wished to prevent late-year releases from being neglected,
this adjustment was made. This fair new guideline has already helped
celebrities like Kojo Blak and Sarkodie. The TGMA continues to demonstrate why
it is Ghana's most esteemed platform for musical brilliance by adjusting to
contemporary streaming trends.
