Following their close 1-0
loss to Colombia in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 32, Ghana's Minister for
Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, has urged the Black Stars to stick
together.
Speaking at Kansas City
Stadium, the Minister praised the players and technical staff for their
unwavering commitment to the competition. In particular, he highlighted the
many hours that the technical team put into deciphering footage and creating
tactics to direct the players.
Even though Jhon Arias'
goal in the 14th minute ended Ghana's World Cup campaign early, Hon. Adams
stressed that the team has come a long way. He told the team that although
their objective was to go farther, football outcomes are frequently determined
by narrow margins inside ninety minutes.
The Minister acknowledged
his gratitude for the team's commitment and switched the attention onto their
next significant challenge, the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers. In
closing, he urged the players to keep together, saying that as they advance in
their journey, they must win and lose as a cohesive team.
