Paul Reverson, a highly
regarded goalkeeper for Ajax, has expressed his regret at not being included in
Ghana's final Black Stars roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Despite being on
the first 28-man provisional list, the talented 20-year-old goalkeeper was
eventually left off the final roster.
The young talent is
maintaining a very optimistic outlook regarding his international future
despite the heartbreak. Even though he wanted to participate in the event, he
acknowledged that time is on his side, he said in a mature manner.
Reverson, who was born
and reared in the Netherlands, chose Ghana over the Dutch national team. He
made his Under-20 debut for Ghana in 2025 and swiftly got a senior call-up for
a friendly match against Mexico last month.
Currently playing for
Jong Ajax, his talent is unquestionable. The Black Stars, along with Panama,
England, and Croatia, are getting ready for a challenging World Cup campaign in
Group L. On June 17 at BMO Field, Ghana will play Panama to begin their competition.
Football supporters are
still optimistic that Reverson would soon establish himself as a key member of
the national squad.
