At the Offinso Technical Institute, a tranquil vacation soon
became a nightmare. A violent altercation between students and a group of local
youngsters broke out on campus on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, immediately after
the local Eid prayers.
The attackers destroyed school property, smashing glass windows and smashing doors at staff apartments and dorms, motivated by a long-standing rivalry.
While several students fled the school out of terror,
six injured pupils are currently recuperating at St. Patrick Hospital.
Community leaders are gathering to reestablish harmony while police look into
the event.
