The Allied Health
Professionals Council detained a guy for pretending to be a medical
professional at a nearby hospital in an important step to safeguard public
safety. On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Enoch Oduru was arrested for working as a
lab and scan technician at the Step to Christ Hospital in Mamprobi.
Mr. Oduru apparently
acknowledged that he has neither professional medical training or the necessary
credentials to undertake delicate diagnostic procedures on patients.
The moment the suspect was led into a police car after his illegal activities were discovered was captured on camera and posted on social media. This arrest is a part of a broader, continuous campaign to crack down on unlicensed practitioners who perform without the necessary credentials and endanger people's lives.
This Wednesday, Mr. Oduru
is scheduled to appear in court to answer for his crimes. Although the Step to
Christ Hospital has not yet issued a formal statement, this tragedy is a
powerful message to everyone to be cautious about where they receive medical
care. To receive the safe, competent care you need, always be sure your
healthcare personnel are properly qualified and certified.
