Christford Affadu Danful,
also known as Ekow Black, is a young man who has been charged with serious
domestic abuse at the Adabraka Magistrate Court. According to reports, the
25-year-old assaulted Rachel Oduro violently in Accra towards the end of last year.
The victim was allegedly severely beaten on November 30, 2025, according to the
prosecution.
A video of the attack
went viral online, drawing widespread attention to the crime. In addition to
the physical assault, Ekow Black is accused of sextortion and threatening to
share the victim's private photos. The accused maintains that the incident occurred
several months ago, but the court is taking the case very seriously.
Ekow Black has been
granted GH₵30,000 bail with sureties by the magistrate. As the judicial process
proceeds, he must now appear in court again on February 10, 2026. This case is
a sobering reminder of the continuous battle against domestic abuse and the
need of making people answerable for their deeds.
