Ibrahim Mahama, a well-known businessman, has voiced his
profound respect for Carlos Queiroz, the head coach, emphasizing his quick and
beneficial influence on the Black Stars.
Mahama recently accompanied a high-level government
delegation to the squad's training camp in Rhode Island in an effort to raise
team spirits prior to their pivotal World Cup match against Croatia.
He was obviously impressed by the Portuguese coach's ability
to quickly combine the team into a formidable force.
Mahama said that the team's performance has been absolutely
fantastic, praising both the players and the technical staff.
Queiroz has guided the team to a positive start since taking command in April, with a win over Panama and a tough draw against England. With four points, the Black Stars are now tied for first place in Group L.
Mahama offered the team a unique personal extra if they defeated Croatia on Saturday, which he claims is even better than the official government incentive, in an effort to further inspire them. A victory at Lincoln Financial Field would guarantee a historic place in the knockout stages—a milestone that the country is looking forward to.
