On Thursday, a solemn funeral service in the Krachi East
Municipality descended into chaos. Felix Yaw, 32, and six other people were hit
by lightning during an unexpected storm while getting ready for customary
ceremonies.
Felix and an animal were instantaneously killed when the
attack happened while the group was preparing livestock for the event. The six
survivors, who had burns and other injuries, were sent to the hospital right
after. While authorities have begun an investigation into the occurrence,
family members are following traditional customs to comprehend this unfortunate
event while the community grieves.
