Four people
have died in a horrific accident near Odumasi on the Accra-Kumasi Highway,
while numerous others are still struggling for their lives. A private vehicle
and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter bus collided on Monday close to the Rider Iron and
Steel Company. According to reports, a risky overtaking technique was the cause
of the catastrophe.
With
life-threatening injuries, emergency personnel hurried the survivors to Hope
Care Hospital and Konongo-Odumasi Government Hospital. Authorities are advising
all drivers to exercise caution on this busy highway in order to avoid more
heartbreak, even if the deceased have been carried to the morgue.
