Thanks to a valiant rescue by the NSCDC in Abuja, a
15-year-old girl from Ebonyi State is now safe. After being detained for two
weeks at the Kwali Area Council, the boy endured terrible mistreatment and was
in danger of being trafficked to Libya for exploitation.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit took prompt action when her
mother reported her missing. The culprit, Anyanwu Daniel, 46, was apprehended
when they were able to locate him. In order to ensure that justice is done, the
authorities are pursuing prosecution while the courageous victim is currently
getting protected care.
