With the introduction of
its new "Campus Connect" program, the National Health Insurance
Authority (NHIA) is making life easier for students. This program, which makes
its debut at Takoradi Technical University (TTU), provides registration and renewal
services right in the lecture halls. Students can now obtain health care on
campus during their "Akwaaba Week" celebrations, eliminating the need
for them to travel far.
Rev. Prof. John Frank
Eshun, vice chancellor, commended the action, pointing out that many students
frequently suffer with medical expenses when they get sick. Students can
concentrate on their education without worrying about excessive medical
expenses when they have an NHIS card. In order to help clinics improve service
and prevent unlawful charges, the NHIA announced a huge 120% rate rise. In
order to ensure the safety and well-being of every young Ghanaian, this
student-friendly trip is scheduled to visit institutions around the country.
